Aliens Versus Predator Versus Worthless Human Scum

Humans suck. Just ask the aliens that have been experimented on. It hard to feel sorry for the aliens though, especially if you’ve seen any of the movies. They’re pretty much bastards, always eating and spawning from the pitiful humans. Why is it that in these sci-fi universes, humans are on the bottom end of the evolution scale?

In the new Aliens Vs. Predator game, dropping February 16th, all that is going to stay the same. Like the first game, they’re giving us the complete experience…a campaign for each race. But really, the human campaign is just very pathetic icing on the cake.  It’s like playing as a cripple in a boxing game. Sure,  you can see the world from a different perspective, but you constantly get the feeling that the odds are tipped in the other person’s favor.

And really, whose going to play the new AVP to see what it’s like to be a human shooting at aliens and other aliens we call predators? BORING. How many games already exist where you do that the entire game? At least one. No, when I pop this sucker in, it’s going to be to kill all humans, not play as one.

Human = Dead

Human = Dead

Which sounds like more fun? Walking around as a sack of brittle bones and easily injured flesh, or sneaking around as an invisible harbinger of death stabbing and shooting the shit out of things, or walking around on the ceiling dropping down only to rip something in half?

I’ll play the human campaign just out of morbid curiosity, but I’ll be rooting for the aliens and predators the whole time. It’s hard to root for the home team when we pale in comparison in both  ferocity and stature to these other races.

Judging from the trailer, this game will be spine snapping, human mutilating fun. Especially the human mutilating part:

What I’m most excited about, though, is the multiplayer. It promises to take the gaming experience to a whole new level. Three different races with different abilities all shooting/biting at each other. There will be blood, and lots of it. I expect the casualty count on all sides to rocket into the millions. The millions!

Having loved the original way back in the day (before the turn of the century), and seeing that this game looks to be a whole lot more of the same, I’ll be there the day it comes out, but no one will see me through my predator cloaking.

I loved the first AvP! They could just remake that one with better graphics and I’d buy it twice. I can’t wait for this one.

Way too excited for the “human mutilating fun.” Why can’t you just play a nice game like that stupid Flowers one from a couple weeks ago?
