Dan Henderson joins the EA MMA Roster

Here is some yummy news for MMA fans out there. EA has recently released some new screenshots and added UFC fighter Dan Henderson to their confirmed roster for their future MMA fighting game “EA Sports: MMA”.

The roster for this slick looking fighter continues to grow as EA Sports already has a confirmed roster of around 30 octagon gladiators including Fedor Emelianenko, Joe Riggs, Randy Couture, and Bobby Lashley.

The newest images display a few of the already confirmed athletes, and show them facing off or on the mat grappling.

So far all the screenshots I have seen look amazing. From super detailed muscles and sweat to arenas with camera flashes, the bar has been set pretty high by EA on this one. You can even see the “cauliflower” ear of some combatants.

Because of the previously released MMA games like UFC: Undisputed and the next installment UFC 2010, EA sports have some work cut out for them to make a name with all the hardcore, Affliction wearing, UFC fans in the country.

Given the history of EA sports, and the quality of their animation teams, I don’t foresee any big problems, but let us hope EA continues their tradition of awesomeness in the sports genre.

Let’s hope they have Rampage Jackson! I’d be surprised if they didn’t considering he’s gonna be the new Mr. T in the A Team remake. Not sure if I’ll see that, but I’ll def check out this game!
