I don’t think I can really do this game justice in a review. I really don’t think that there’s any review ever that could do this game justice.  Now, don’t think that I am just an EVE fan boy who is just singing praises. There are just so many great things about this MASSIVE game that I don’t think that it can ever be fully realized or achieved.

Enough of that little rant though; In short the game is a MMO, in space, where you play as an immortal pod pilot. A demigod, who can take part in any aspect of this massive universe that is EVE. If you want to join your faction’s army and fight other pilots in PVP.  You can become an industrial pilot and mine and produce goods and ships, make massive amounts of money, and influence player made corporations to do you bidding. You can be a pirate taking out mining ships, and making some quick cash while living on the edge of the law. Or be a bounty hunter, hunting down these pirates for the great bounties placed on their head.

Of the games that claim to be “Sand box” MMOs, this is the only one that seems that it’s true. The game has a massive learning curve, and it might take you months to years to fully understand every aspect of the game.  And I can defiantly say that it does take years, to get in to the best ships in the game. If I had to rate this game I would give it a 9/10. 9 only because at times it can be do daunting to learn everything you almost get discouraged, but if you push on and really make an active effort to come out on top you will, and the payoff is always amazing and satisfying.

What’s really great is that the game to start is cheap $20 to start (first month included), the monthly subscription is $15. All expansions are free which is amazing.  You have the option to pay for the subscription with in-game money, so when you start raking in some in-game cash the game will pretty much pay for itself! The game is so deep, that if you love sci-fi you will be sucked in instantly. Okay maybe this was a bit of a fan boy rant, but I am also going to pick on the game a bit.

The biggest downside is how hard this game is to learn. The first months of this game is slow and all about learning what and how to do things. Not everything is explained very well in the tutorial, so expect to do a lot of reading online. Over all the downside to this game comes in learning everything. Once you have an understanding of the game, you quickly start moving up. Over all it’s a game I really enjoy CCP is a great company who is really on top of their game with EVE, I would recommend this title to anyone who enjoys anything sci-fi.
