Not fazed by court decisions prohibiting them from using the Fallout name, Interplay has announced what was a Fallout MMO and is now the (hopefully) tentatively titled Project: V13 is not only under development by Masthead Studios, but that a beta will begin for the game in 2012 – in case you want to get ready to sign up now.
Masthead’s only game is the not yet released sci-fi MMO Earthrise, which will share some of its technology with Project: V13. Masthead joins the team from Interplay which has been working on the game since 2007 and includes some of the original Fallout creators.
As for the name, hopefully they work something out with Bethesda within the next two years so we don’t end up with Fall-in Online, or some other similar but legally distinguishable title.

Project: V13 will easily replace any memory of Fallout by 2012.
I wonder what the fallout will be of this decision?
