New Vegas Trailer Finally Up!

Bethesda Software has finally released its first Fallout: New Vegas Trailer today!

With the all the codeing and textures in the GECK already made up, how much work will the Dev Team at Bethesda Software have to do on New Vegas?

How about some new and improved features?

Right now, the main forum on Bethesda Software’s site is asking fans what they would want, to input their ideas. Being a staunch fan of the series, i ventured over to see what was being brought forth.

I am… disappointed.

Sad arguments on the economic system and “awesome” rides are about it. The fact that the New California Republic is obviously a big part (according to the trailer) of the new game has sparked little debate. So I ask you, what would you want to see?

Vehicles? Personally, i wouldnt mind something small instead of the fast travel system. As long as they dont dominate the game the way vehicles did in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Better Trading? Lets face it, its HARD to develop an entire working economic system designed for a post-apocolyptic future. The idea that currency should be nil and the trading of scavaged supplies a major concern is probably the best way to go. In a world obliterated by nuclear weapons, scrap metal and broken weapons should be a GODSEND to just about anyone living in this time. Balancing out the abundance of power armor available later, with the amount said power armor is worth… well, that could use a little work. Personally, i dont see why the game raises the cost of everything according to your level the same way weapon and enemy spawns leveled with the character. Maybe make the economic system level according to the quests complete? That would show the impact you have for sure.

How about a basic A.I. overhaul? Yeah. Enemies who actually take cover would be nice. Seasoned raiders, militarily trained faction troops, and weathered mercenaries would all know how to use their surroundings in battle and how to lay down cover im sure, wouldnt they?

If you’ve got an idea, now’s the time to head over to the forums and make your voice heard. If your wondering if you’ll make a difference, I think you’ll notice much of the Dev Team regularly speaks on the forums and are obviously reading the posts. So chances are, if you make your voice loud, strong, and UNIQUE; you’ll probably be heard and even responded to.

Give it a shot.
