I hope you’re satisfied with the current Beatles: Rock Band DLC, because it’s likely going to be the last of it. Earlier this week, Viacom blamed MTV games for the 6% financial decline of 2009. Viacom also pointed Beatles: Rock Band out, due to lack of SKUs sold, and the fact that Beatles hit 1 million sales in early December. However, Viacom noted Beatles: Rock Band’s strong launch.
A representative from Harmonix games explained to the press that “Beatles DLC isn’t so easy to produce. It takes thousands of dollars to release an album. It’s possible to see more Beatles DLC, but it is currently unlikely.”
Harmonix has not confirmed the end of DLC for Beatles: Rock Band, but with Viacom’s announcement of annual sales, it is very unlikely.

Yeah I downloaded Abbey Road and then stopped buying DLC for that game. There just wasn’t enough people with Abbey Road online for me to justify purchasing more, probably even less popular albums. Plus all the songs that seemed most fun to play from Sgt. Pepper’s and Rubber Soul were already in the game, so buying those albums felt sort of pointless.
NOOO! I need Revolver and The White Album. It’s sad that there are so many songs that are going to be left out. I guess I can just learn how to play those songs on a real instrument.
idk I think if all you need is love does alright they might do some more. I agree with you on revolver that would be sweet. I would be happy with all the pre rubber soul too with no dreamscapes.Hopefully your wrong but those are some good points. I wish they would atleast let us know what was going on after saying we would get the entire beatles catalog.
i think they should put out some of their older work, like Help and Please Please Me.
Though I am a big fan of the Beatles later work, I feel that the early songs are the most fun to play in this game. Thus, it is quite tragic that we don’t have more songs from those earlier albums, but instead have stuff like the Abbey Road medley and “Lovely Rita”. I would buy songs like If I Fell, I Should Have Known Better, I’ve Just Seen A Face, You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away … it is really quite tragic that after all the work of putting together this game, we don’t get to have those songs.
Help, I need some DLC! As one of, if not the, most popular band of all time, it would be foolish not to put the entire catalog on DLC. The songs are timeless. Therefore the albums should be available for all time. I want to be playing The White Album when I’m 64. Come on, in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make!!!! All you need is love!!! If they don’t make any more DLC my guitar shall weep for all eternity. If I needed someone, it would be the people that make the DLC!

ok… i thought this would be an easy decision for well…everyone! Buy Beatles Rock Band. Then go online and buy every peice of downloadable content that is being offered. Why? That’s another easy one. Because it’s amazing. It’s the Beatles. Didn’t know much of a stronger arguement than that. Just simply put, the Beatles are amazing and if your not familiar with their music I cant think of a better opportunity to become aquainted with some of the most pleasurable music that has ever been released. Everytime I put the game in and play I know why it is I feel in love with them for the first time. Don’t you know it’s gonna last? A love that lasts forever, a love that has no past. Don’t let me down.
Ugh! They have to release Help! and you also need Hey Jude! I have Beatles Rock Band parties and everybody is dying to have a huge Hey Jude encore!
BOOOOOOO! What’s with bigger companies like Activision and Viacom pushing around the real game developers like Harmonix, MTV games, and IW? We NEED more DLC for this game because you just can’t get enough Beatles music! Whatever happened to supplying customers with what they want–taking risks to deliver the best products? This penny-pinching will lose them many consumers and ultimately lead to their end.
I have had the game, bass, mic + stand, and drum set for 360 since 9/9/09 and have played the game just about every day since! I know it sounds ridiculous but whenever I feel like listening to the Beatles, I just play the game and it is SO MUCH FUN! I even got the Rickenbacker a couple months ago and I rarely play with two guitarists–that’s how dedicated I, and everyone else, am to this game and its awesome piece in Beatles history. Please, I beg you, if you like the Beatles even a little bit, you have to get this game. It is a 10/10 in my book and that’s coming from someone who has been playing games for over a decade on a regular basis and knows what makes a good game. Trust me, this game is fantastic so you really need to get it in some form before the bastards at Viacom take away the bundles that come with the awesome Beatle instruments! Stop thinking about it and get it!

Viacom has a really shitty history of blaming everyone except themselves for their company’s losses (I’ve seen this happen to several Nickelodeon Nicktoons), even when it’s evident that their own incompetence is responsible.
I honestly wish someone would storm their headquarters and set fire to them. Assholes deserve it for all the crap they’ve done to good people.

Maybe they are surprising us with The Beatles Rock Band 2. I mean come on why would the forget about this game its the beat Rock Band and it does not take that long to make a single album.They are gonna put every song on Beatles Rock Band 2 but if they dont put every song on they will probably add the rest in the marketplace

I completely agree. Silent Library? Really? The Beatles Rock Band is the reason for failure and shows like that have nothing to do with it?

BTW i think this game failed majorly beacuse you couldnt import them to rock band 2 switching dics is ot much of a hasle for people now days.
if i could pick the next album for dlc, id go with revolver. just for my love of that album in particular, and for Harrison`s other tracks on that album. like love to you, and i want to tell you.

i too would really like to see some more dlc albums like the white album or let it be.. but the thing is, they’ll probably have you playing a different instrument on guitar thats nothing like it ( for example, they had you playing violin on “i am the walrus”, the trumpet on “carry that weight”, and the piano on “a day in the life” and “in my life” where there are guitar parts in the song. they even animate george/john strumming the guitar chords!) which i think is completely stupid. for songs without drums, they didn’t give the drummer a part (which i understood) but i don’t see why they don’t do the same thing for guitar instead of assigning it an instrument of no similarity. id be more intrested in buying the dlc if they did the songs correctly, having us play the correct instruments.
Please people. We all know that BRB was a huge seller. All the baby boomers from that era must likely AT LEAST looked at the game at K-Mart. Have fun with what HMX gave to us. It’s not much but hey, they gave us three of the top 13 albums in the catalogue! There’ll be more dlc. Don’t jump ship yet
