Nothing Says The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom Like the Title of Steam’s Newest Game

For many, today is nothing more than an average day to celebrate the birth of one of history’s biggest assholes – Joey Lawrence, star of the popular television sitcom Brotherly Love. You may remember Joey from a myriad of different TV show from the 1990s, but I guarantee you that history will forget him.

If only April 20th could be associated with something that isn’t a terrible TV actor who only gets cast in the worst roles for the worst TV shows (and made-for-TV movies), the world would be a better place. Well guess what? The wait is over!

Thanks to the 11-year-olds in China who are already programming at a poly-technical masters degree level, and 2k Games for having the wisdom to hire them, The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is now out on PCs nearest everywhere!

Since there is nothing better to do on glorious 4/20 like today, why wouldn’t you pick up this highly acclaimed puzzler?

The game, from the odd production company The Odd Gentlemen, is available exclusively through Steam. The Windows PC (suck it, Linux!) version comes with many new appetizing ingredients, including expanded leaderboard options, new unlockable achievements, five additional brain-teasing puzzles, and Steam Cloud, which allows players to take the game with them on the road by accessing saved games from the Steam network. Sorry, Xbox Live Arcade purchasers, you’ve been hosed.

In case you haven’t heard about it, The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom presents the comical escapades of the portly pie thief P.B. Winterbottom on his mad-capped pursuit of scrumptious brain-teasing pies that wreak frontal lobe havoc from the puzzle-filled euphoria of time manipulation and self-replication.

Now, if only there were a soon-to-be-completely-legal way to enhance the experience of this already pretty awesome game and make it even more awesomer.
