Playstation Users Hit the Limit on Friends

by Paul Hummer on March 1, 2010 · 4 comments

Playstation gamers are reporting in the Playstation forums that they’ve hit the friend count ceiling.  Users specifically cite MAG’s 128 team members as a specific cause for finding the limit, but other users just seem to be in many different clans over many different games.  Players are having to resort to friending their “top 100″ friends reminiscent of the MySpace top 8.

Personally, we don’t even know 100 people, let alone have 100 friends.  Have you hit the limit?  Should Sony limit the number of friends you have? Let us know in the comments!

Fascinating. I didn’t know PSN limited your friends the way Xbox Live did. If the only reason Xbox Live is limited to 100 friends is because of legacy support for first gen Xbox games like Halo 2, then shouldn’t Sony have included support for more friends out of the gate? This seems like poor planning.

I have about 10 friends.

I can’t imagine having 100. Where would they all sit when we are playing BuzzTV or Singstar or some other game….

Nevermind.

I’m going to add all the people whose gamertags I can make out in the picture. That will make me feel popular.

Don’t Forget to hit up the Forums and Leave your PSN I.D. under the PS3 section!
