Watch the trailer for Serious Sam HD, the FPS developed by Devolver Digital / Croteam. The US release was on November 24th and the reviews have been largely positive. Daemon Hatfield of IGN gives it a 7.5 and calls it, “a classic FPS that doesn’t take itself too seriously.” cdv Software Entertainment published the game and you can have up to 4 players.
Hatfield closes his review as he writes, “Serious Sam doesn’t try to be anything more than a gory, adrenaline-fueled shooting gallery. For many, that is all that is required for a good time. It does get repetitive, though. There are definitely cheap thrills to be had here but don’t expect the substance that modern first-person shooters like Half-Life and BioShock offer. If you just want to kill some stuff, Serious Sam will certainly do.” It is also available for XBOX 360 and MSRP is$ 19.99. So, if you want a classic and fun FPS this Christmas for under a Dub, seriously consider Serious Sam HD.
