I was a lonely boy in middle school. I didn’t have many friends. I ate lunch alone, from the brown bag I packed the night before, (can of Cherry Pepsi and a semi-warm pudding, vanilla or chocolate, sometimes even mixed). I wasn’t the best student, I wasn’t worstested. The fact still remained; I was a nobody. Then one day that would all change. One of my female classmates came in and put her backpack down. On the side of it, connected by a little chain, was this small yellow egg-shaped computer with three little button, and on that screen, well lets just say on that screen was my son!
“TAMAGOTCHI! Get your Tamagotchi!” That’s what you would here walking down any New Jerrrzay boardwalk during the infamous Tamagotchi Era. They were hot son! Every one wanted one, but they were always sold out. If you somehow don’t know, Tamagotchi is a handheld digital pet which you need to feed, play with, clean up after, and sometimes even discipline if it’s been a bad little digital pet. If you’re a good Tama-Mommy or Tama-Daddy your baby will grow from a little Tama-sperm to be a beautiful Tamagotchi, but if you don’t give it enough attention and abuse it, that Tama-sperm turns into an ugly mean thing, and then DIES!!! As time progressed companies started making rip off Tamagotchi, like that bastard creation, Giga Pet, it’s like a Tamagotchi, but evil!
And if you thought they were bad, many more even worse rip offs came out following closely behind. Tamagotchi was still king of the digital pets, but because of this uproar in knock offs those gorgeous little digitally dotted thing lost its crazed appeal and people could get one anywhere without ease. Once people realized that at the rate the Tamagotchi community was growing, it would only be a few year before they out populated us. Then the fear started, “What if they makes us live in those little egg things?” The government decided we had to stop this before it got any more out of control. So we had to give up our babies, for the good of humanity. But till this day I still think about my little digital baby Tamagotchi… I miss you son!

I had a Tamagotchi. I loved the crap out of that thing.
Hmm…I am thinking about bringing Tamagotchi’s back.
I always changed the time to 11:59PM so every minute it grew a “year.” I went through three or four of them a day.
