Wii Virtual Console Releases – March 15th

Well it’s the middle of the month, half way through March are you getting ready for St. Patrick’s day? Do you have your green beer? Well if you’re buying games on the VC you might be too young but you could always color your root beer green… Well onto the game releases this week..

This week does not have many releases for the service. We have for the Wii Ware two new games Rage of the Gladiator and ……. We also get Triple Shot Sports a target based shooter. For the Virtual Console we get a previously unreleased in the US game, Castlevania Rondo of Blood for the Turbo Grfx 16. This is by far the biggest release this week.

Rage of the Gladiator -WiiWare – 1000 points

When will gladiator games finally die out? They are like world war two games they just don’t die. So how is this zombie of a creation holding up in today’s market? Well it does not look like Russel Crowe will be remaking this game as Robin Hood in a few years let’s just say that.

That is like saying it’s impossible to say when I will be done with this article. Well I can tell you when I will be done, it’s when I run out of beer that is when the article will be done!

When should I stop laughing?

The game costs 1000 wii points or ten dollars. From the preview trailer shown on their website I feel this is nothing more than a cheap way to steal your ten dollars. How many of you have actually met a gladiator? They look ok on the surface, and I am sure have some personality traits that we might find offensive in today’s world like that whole kill or be killed mentality, but if you have driven on the 101 that you might understand.

I think we need to ask for some references from the gladiator for this game. I want to scream out from the top of my apartment building “POKEMON” because this game looks even worse than the Pokemon series of games for the N64. How can they expect us to fork over ten dollars for this? When will the Wii either get better games for the service or just release more VC games? I have my shield up waiting to defend my ten dollars from games like these, how about you?

Triple Shot Sports – WiiWare – 500 points

So not only does the Wii Ware get really bad games but now it gets ports of iPhone games how much of a crap fart is that? Take a look at the screen shots for this game! How many of you played this game before in 1997? Well that is about what it looks like, I spilled my beer when I saw the video of this game and that upsets me. Don’t play a game that upsets you either! It is also 2 dollars for theiPhone but $5 for the Wii Ware. What a rip.

Castlevania Rondo of Blood – WiiWare – 900 points

This is no budlight of a game, this is the real deal. You know the kind you wake up in the morning and thank your Hanna Montana poster for blessing your life with. It’s here after a long wait, this is what is exciting about virtual console releases being able to play previously unreleased games, and not iPhone games like Triple Shot Sports. It’s the tenth Castlevania game released, and I for one am excited to see how it plays.
